You can search the internet, or the yellow pages. Attend bridal fairs
in your area. Caterers, planners, disc jockeys and dress designers
also deal regularly with wedding photographers. They can steer you
towards, or away from, photographers based on their experience. If you
know a local photographer that's a great place to start, but it's also a
good idea to talk to others as well.

Probably the best way to find a qualified photographer is to ask your
family and friends, especially anyone you know who is recently married.

You should probably talk to at least five photographers before you decide
on one. Look at lots of photos. Try to see a variety of styles - formal portraits
and photojournalism at least.

If you have an idea what you want (a traditional album, digital images on a DVD, coffee table book etc.)
ask to see those items. Look for quality and value. Try to stay within your
budget, but don't make price your primary criteria. Cheaper is seldom better.
